Nick visit - Day 1
Nick, my younger brother, is out in LA for his first vacation in a long time. He's been to LA before, but it was over 6 years ago. He's here for about a week and a half. We really look forward to it. He and I have got lots of geekin' to do. Movies, games, anime, etc. He's awesome to hang around. He's open minded when it comes to things like food, so we can take him to all of our favorite spots. We've already hit The Coffee Co. (a breakfast spot), Ramen-ya (ramen noodle place) and he even had a milk tea boba. That's just the first day.
One of the nice things about having people visit, is you get a chance to "rediscover" where you live. By showing them around and going to various places you're able to gain a "re-appreciation" for the city and place you call home. We, as humans, tend to take a lot for granted. Visitors help open our eyes some what.
Here's a pic when he and Dudley first met. Nick was surprised at how big Dudley is. He's used to my parent's greyhound, Annie, who is about 30 pounds lighter. Anyway, they got along fine. When I left for work this morning, Dudley and Nick were going for a walk. Maybe they'll find some dogs to kick.
