Walking at the beach

So he still doesn't have a name, but we'll be deciding on one this weekend. We've had him almost a week now and we've had a chance to get a sense of his personality. We're honing in a name that fits him. He's already got his racing name "Baker McBeef" and the name he came with "Ulysses" which I believe his foster family gave him. So we'll be giving him one more name that he'll have the rest of his life to get used to. Hopefully we're not confusing him too much.

We took him for a walk at the beach earlier this week. It was a new environment for him. He saw lots of people and other dogs. He's got a lot to learn when it come to interacting with other dogs. He barks at the big ones and wants to eat the little ones. We're working on that. It was nice to get him out and about and he seemed to enjoy it. These kinds of walks seem to really wear him out.

One last thing to note. I managed to weigh him in a very crude fashion the other day. He came in at 77 lbs. I'm not sure how we ended up with such a large dog, but that's the way it goes.
